The bare bulbs are the open ends, the place you add to when you are ready. Leave them out front for the clean version, or come back and stack on what you want. You pick which way it leans too. Mount it vertical for a tall line on the wall, or turn it sideways and let it stretch. The shape is yours to set.
No junction box, no electrician, no holes you regret. It plugs into any outlet, so the base goes where the wall has no wiring but the room still wants light. The cord is cloth covered, eight feet of it, with a thumb switch where your hand expects it. Two bulbs, your pick of warmth and brightness up to 60 watts each. Black keeps the foundation flat and graphic, a clean dark line that holds its shape under whatever you build on it.
